I grew up in rural Cheshire which, accompanied by holidays in Wales and Scotland, cultivated a strong love of the outdoors. This has developed into a powerful appreciation for nature and drive to take care of our beautiful planet.

I studied Art, Design and Fashion Textiles in London before I went on to work for some of the most exciting start-ups in the UK. After nearly 15 years’ experience designing and making evening gowns on the side, it was the process of making my own wedding dress in 2017 that encouraged me back to the world of art and design.

In 2019 I launched CoopCouture – designing and making unique, knitted wedding dresses for eco-conscious brides. At the same time, I also began exploring the world of portraiture again, which is currently the main focus of my work.

I live in Stratford on Avon, where I’m about to embark on a low carbon EnerPHit retrofit of a 1930’s house, and redesign of a climate change resilient and bio-diverse garden.
